Brian and Vanessa Smith serve Victory Church of God with a rare blend of passion, steadiness, and spiritual grit. Together, they help shape the front lines of our ministry: protecting our congregation, welcoming new families, building community, and strengthening discipleship.
Brian leads our Security Team with the discipline and calm authority shaped by years of service. A former United States Marine and an active police officer with the North Platte Police Department, he brings professional readiness and a shepherd’s heart to the safety of our church. His commitment ensures that every person who walks through our doors can worship, learn, and grow in an environment that is both secure and filled with peace.
Vanessa directs our Events and Assimilation ministries, helping newcomers find their place in the life of our church. She weaves together hospitality, organization, and genuine care to create moments that feel like family. From major church events to the quiet follow-up that helps someone feel seen, she carries a beautiful gift for connecting people to community and calling.
Both Brian and Vanessa have served in ministry at The Rock Church, where their hearts for discipleship and intercession were shaped and strengthened. Their desire is simple and powerful: to see God’s people walk in righteousness, grow in the Word, and discover the hope and purpose found in Christ.
As a team, they embody service, faith, and steadfast devotion. Their leadership helps Victory Church welcome well, protect well, and raise up believers who walk in truth.
